Lynsey Wilkinson
Owner, Injector and Nurse Prescriber
I've been a qualified nurse since 2001, but my journey in aesthetics started in 2012 when I completed my first course in Botulinum toxin. I then went on to conduct further studies in dermal fillers.
In 2017 I gained my prescribing qualification at the University of Bolton, which enabled me to offer more treatments in the clinic.
I've since completed advanced courses in skin boosters, fat dissolving, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin, a masterclass in lips, complete facial rejuvenation and Obagi medical-grade skincare. I am proud that all of the training that I have undertaken has been provided by qualified nurses and doctors.
In 2022 I had the opportunity to attend a cadaver course at the famous King's College in London to gain further knowledge in anatomy, this was led by world-renowned plastic and reconstructive surgeon Mr Dalvi Humzah.
As medical professionals, we never stop learning. There are more courses scheduled each year to ensure our training is up to date so that patients receive the best quality care. These include research-based treatments and techniques as safety remains paramount in everything we do.
I opened my clinic in 2019, in the leafy suburb of Sale, Cheshire and regularly hold clinics in Astley, Atherton and Northwich. The fresh, clinical environment is just perfect for making your treatment a 5 Star experience!
I live in Urmston and am a mum to 3 amazing kids.
My hobbies include going to the gym, shopping, eating out, fashion and beauty, spending time with my family and travelling.
TREATMENT AREAS
All of our treatments are safe and carried out by a registered nurse. Simply click on the treatment name below.
dermal FILLER
Dermal Fillers are small injections of gel, typically made up of hyaluronic acid, that fill in wrinkles and add volume to soft tissue. You can have dermal fillers in different parts of your face including around the eye, cheeks, mouth, lips, and jawline.
Fillers basically restore lost volume to your face and plump areas so that deep set lines are smoothed. As we get older our bodies stop producing collagen and elastin, both of which contribute to a youthful look. Experts argue over when we start losing collagen, but the general agreed age is 25, which is pretty young, right? Your collagen and elastin levels then decline at a rate of about 2% per year, and your body will have stopped producing it altogether by your late twenties. Fillers have been used for decades to restore lost volume or add lift.
anti-wrinkle
Botulinum Toxin is fast becoming the treatment of choice for the reduction, elimination and prevention of fine lines and wrinkles. Botulinum Toxin is a purified protein produced by the Clostridium Botulinum Bacterium.
When injected directly into a muscle it blocks the release of a substance called Acetylcholine, the substance responsible for transmitting electrical impulses that elicit muscle contraction. Restricting the contraction of certain muscles gives improvement cosmetically on the surface of the skin where lines have accumulated.
Everyone is an individual, and as such results will vary between individuals. Assessment and expected clinical outcomes will be fully delivered and explained in the consultation.
Fine lines can be expected to disappear after one treatment and Botulinum Toxin will also greatly minimise and prevent the formulation of new lines. Moderate lines can be expected to appear a lot softer and, in some cases, disappear, depending on their severity. Severe lines and permanent muscle contraction can be expected to also appear softer as well as lifted.
Improvements in the lines and relaxing of the muscle will begin to be apparent after 2 - 14 days following the treatment and results should be expected to last approximately 3 - 4 months. For long term results, including the reversal of very deep furrows and to prevent any future development, 3 - 4 treatments per year is advised.
lip-fillers
As we age lips naturally lose volume and become drier. This means that they lose their definition. They start to decrease in volume and appear dehydrated. It is now possible with lip fillers to achieve enhancement to correct these changes.
For example, we can replace the lost volume in lips with subtle enhancements such as addressing perioral lines (also known as smokers' lines) around the mouth to create smooth, fuller-looking lips.

chemical peel
A chemical peel, also known as chemexfoliation or dermapeeling, uses a chemical solution to improve the appearance of your skin. In this treatment, a chemical solution is applied to your skin, which causes trauma or injury to your skin’s layers. The skin layers eventually peel off revealing more youthful skin. The new skin is usually smoother with fewer lines and wrinkles and has a more even colour and is brighter in complexion.
Chemical peels are used to treat certain skin conditions or to improve your appearance by improving the tone and texture of your skin. They are most commonly performed on your face, neck or hands and can help reduce or improve:
* Fine lines under your eyes or around your mouth and wrinkling caused by sun damage, aging and hereditary factors.
* Certain types of acne.
* Mild scarring.
* Sun spots, age spots, liver spots, freckles and
uneven skin colouring.
* Precancerous scaly spots called actinic keratosis.
* Rough skin, scaly patches, dull complexion.
* Dark patches (melasma) due to pregnancy or taking birth control pills.
Sags, bulges, deep scars, deep facial lines and more severe wrinkles don’t respond well to chemical peels. If these are your concerns, other aesthetic treatments may be more suitable, such as laser resurfacing, a face lift, brow lift, eye lift or soft tissue filler.
Generally, superficial peels can be used on all skin types. However, if you have a darker skin tone, you have a greater risk of experiencing a darkening of your skin after treatment. This condition is called post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. If you have a naturally darker skin tone, you may want to get advice from the clinic before you book in, and ask about other less aggressive treatments to reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation.
Chemical peeling may also not be recommended if you:
* Have a history of abnormal skin scarring.
* Have extra colouring in your scars.
* Have skin conditions or take medications that make your skin more sensitive.
* Can't stay out of the sun for the healing period.
Chemical Peel Aftercare
After a peel, there are some simple actions you can take to care for your skin and increase the effectiveness of the treatment. Here are our top tips for chemical peel aftercare:
* Cleanse with cool water – Your skin will most likely be sensitive after treatment, and hot water will probably feel uncomfortable. Wash your face with cool water, and remember to pat dry rather than rub your skin
* Use a soap-free cleanser – Soap can dry out your skin and strip it of its natural oils, not a good thing when you’ve just had a deep exfoliation. It may also irritate your more sensitive skin.
* Use a high SPF, broad-spectrum sunscreen – Using sunscreen is essential after a peel as your skin is more sensitive to sun damage. Ask at your appointment about our medical grade skin care range, for advice on which sunscreen to use, as some chemical-based products may irritate. Use an SPF 30+ for at least 6 weeks after treatment.
* Don’t exfoliate – Your skin just had, probably, the deepest exfoliation it has ever had; it doesn’t need more. Avoid exfoliating for at least 3 to 5 days after a light peel and perhaps weeks after a medium or deep peel. Always follow our advice on the aftercare leaflet we will provide you with.
* Avoid touching your face – Try not to touch your face, pick, peel or prod for a few days after the treatment.
* Avoid high temperatures – Avoid saunas, prolonged sun exposure or hot exercise classes, as these encourage inflammation.
* Avoid strenuous exercise – Again, this might cause inflammation. You can return to your regular exercise routine after about 7 days.
* Moisturise – Applying a good quality moisturiser regularly will aid recovery. Make sure your moisturiser is free from harsh chemicals and irritants; it’s also better to use a water-based product. We can recommend the best product for you.
* Avoid products containing retinol – We are often asked how soon after a chemical peel you can use retinol. We recommend avoiding products containing retinol for 5 days after the treatment.
* Don’t have another skincare treatment too soon – Give your skin some time to heal and repair before rushing into another treatment, at least a minimum of 2 to 3 weeks.
